Capricorn has secured flagship opportunities on Madison Avenue for some of the world's most recognized and emerging brands.

Madison Avenue needs no introduction. It is the gold standard for high-end retail in the U.S. and around the world. Capricorn has an extensive list of accomplishments in the area representing both retailers and property owners.

At 829 Madison Avenue, Capricorn represented ownership, which was looking for guidance on how to lease up a five-story building. After several complicated negotiations, Capricorn was able to secure Swedish fashion retailer Toteme for all five floors, a huge win for the client. The final deal created three floors of retail and two floors of office, on a prominent corner location with strong luxury co-tenancy including Khaite, Eton, Akris, and Prada.

At 795 Madison Avenue, Capricorn represented ownership on a site that had been vacant for nearly 5 years. After a thorough process, Capricorn secured heritage Italian menswear brand Mandelli to the property.

At 853 Madison, Capricorn was pulled in to help John Elliott sublease their space. In yet another great signing for the block, the team was able to secure Lafayette 148, a highly respected women’s apparel brand.

In addition to the prime spaces on the Avenue itself, Capricorn has helped our clients maximize revenue in more difficult scenarios. For example, ownership at 20 East 67th Street needed to find a great brand that was willing to take a Madison Avenue side street. Capricorn delivered by securing Matouk, the luxury home furnishings brand, by properly marketing the location.

Further south on the vaunted retail avenue, at 501 Madison Avenue, Capricorn represented Swedish footwear brand Myrqvist for the retailer’s first U.S. store. The 1,500-square-foot, bi-level location provides Myrqvist with a prominent address targeting young urban professionals and leveraging the corridor’s mix of business workers and international visitors.

As Madison Avenue continues to evolve, Capricorn follows suit by bringing new brands, new concepts, and new energy to one of New York City's most established retail corridors.
